How to Apply for TANF in Nebraska

Nebraska's TANF cash program is called Aid to Dependent Children (ADC), paired with a welfare-to-work initiative branded Employment First that pushes able-bodied adults toward training and jobs as quickly as possible. Applications go through iServe Nebraska, a newer combined portal that lets a single family apply for ADC alongside food, healthcare, childcare, and utility assistance in one pass. Adult ADC recipients face a 60-month lifetime cap on cash assistance and must cooperate with Child Support Enforcement for any absent parent.

   Apply online at iServe Nebraska

   Go to iserve.nebraska.gov and select Apply for Benefits. You can apply for ADC cash assistance alone or bundle it with food, healthcare, childcare, or utility assistance in the same application.
