A household of three — one parent and two children — must have gross monthly income under $1,050 to qualify, and the maximum monthly cash assistance for that household size is $662. Rather than a single statewide welfare office, FEP applicants are routed through local Employment Centers where an eligibility worker handles the cash-aid decision and a separate employment counselor manages the program's job-search and training requirements.
